The Story of Art by E.H Gombrich is highly reknown but is rather weighty
Ways of Seeing by John Berger is a very good easy to read book on the basis of examining art.History of Arts, what books are the best for teaching history of arts in teenagers ?
E.H. Gombrich's ';The Story of Art'; would be a great place to start. He was a wonderful storyteller and teacher. I'm currently reading his ';A Little History of the World'; to my 5 %26amp; 7 year-old children!
