I don't see why not?
there are sevral reasons to get birth control besides just birth control.
Acne, gets rid of (or lessens) painful cramps, lightens your period, can make it shorter, and it makes your cycle more regular.
those reasons alone are all great reasons to be put on BC.
So why Florida would be different from any other state, I don't see why it would be.
Talk to your doctor to find out for sure though
